Boom Festival 18th - 26th August 2010 at Idanha-A-Nova Lake, Portugal

The 8th edition of Boom Festival is in a new location. It is held in the lake of Idanha-a-Nova but in a new venue full of shade, which is flatter, greener, and has better access routes. This change was motivated by the need for offering our public better conditions to party. Under the theme of Water, we are expanding our minds to feel the hidden dimensions of nature in a new venue.

Please note that tickets sales have now stopped as of the 31st July.

Access All Areas wishes to thank everyone who bought their Boom tickets from us.

Biocontruction:
As a way of materializing Boom´s eco-ethos, many materials we use are natural. Either taken from burnt forests or harvested in controlled environments. The festival tries to use manufactured raw matter as least as possible. One of the materials we use is bamboo.

Decoration:
At Boom 2010 decoration is created to ignite mind into another level of the perception of art. Paint, sculpture, digital live painting, acid graffiti or visuals will be presented during the August full moon.

Healing Area:
In Boom’s Healing Area we present a holistic view of our existence with therapies, workshops, conferences, meditation, yoga, tai chi, colour and sound therapy, massages all in a garden-esque environment.

Installations:
At Boom they present sculpture, multimedia and a myriad of installations that use space as the sacred place for artists to express their ideas through.

Land Art:
Land Art is, once more, a theme for creation at Boom 2010 featuring artists from all over the world, allowing us to pay homage to the Sacred Earth through art.

It is the cultural hub of Boom Festival. Encompassing lectures, art gallery, gardens and a forward thinking cultural program, the Liminal Village is a paradise of new knowledge within festival context.
